The National Weather Service in Bellemont released the September weather report. September was drier and much warmer than normal across northern Arizona. Several locations had one of the warmest Septembers on record, including 3-rd warmest at both Winslow and Cottonwood, and the warmest on record at Page. Monsoon thunderstorm activity continued for the first few days of the month with some severe weather; then a drier pattern set in through the end of the month for most locations.
