Cottonwood Police responded to the 500 block of South Main Street early Monday morning for a subject complaining of pain on the sidewalk. Sgt. Monica Kuhlt says the subject, a 44 year-old local resident, was identified but could not tell officers where on his body he was injured or even how he became injured. She says the investigation determined he may have been run over. He was transported to VVMC for treatment.If anyone saw anything between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. in the area near Chaparral Bar south to Bank of America they are asked to contact Cottonwood Police at (928)649-1397. Kuhlt says it is possible the subject was laying in the roadway when he got ran over and the driver may not have realized it was a person.
