ADOT reopened Highway-89 between Flagstaff and Page Saturday, but speeds are reduced through the area of the highway that was washed away by flood waters. Officials say crews worked around the clock to make the necessary repairs to get the highway open. Flooding from Hurricane Rosa washed out a 30-foot section of the highway and the earth beneath it. ADOT says the repairs are short term until they can determine what needs to be done to permanently repair the roadway. For safety reasons, the speed limit has been reduced through the area.
