The lightning-caused Cinder Fire on the Springerville Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests will reach about 500 acres at full containment tomorrow. It is burning north of Highway 260 between Forest Road 8538 and the cinder pit. Crews completed all planned ignitions over the weekend and are currently monitoring and patrolling the area as higher winds and scattered showers move through. The fire continues to put up some smoke which may affect visibility along Highways 260 and 261.
