Hurricane Rosa now a Tropical Depression

…FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT…

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central and northern Arizona, including the
following areas, Northern Gila County, Coconino Plateau, Eastern
Mogollon Rim, Grand Canyon Country, Kaibab Plateau, Marble and
Glen Canyons, Oak Creek and Sycamore Canyons and Western
Mogollon Rim.

* Through late tonight.

* Abundant tropical moisture is affecting northern Arizona, with
steady light to moderate rain falling across a large portion of
the area. The heaviest rain will fall this morning through early
this evening. Widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
forecast, with locally higher amounts of around 3 inches over
south facing slopes. Localized flash flooding of urban areas and
small streams may occur during periods of heavier rain. In
addition, larger streams and rivers could experience significant
rises and possible flooding due to the widespread heavy
rainfall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Flash Flood Watch means that developing conditions may lead to
flash flooding within the watch area. People…especially those
located along area creeks…rivers or other flash flood prone
areas…should continue to monitor later forecasts and be
prepared to take immediate action should flash flood warnings be
issued.
