The U. S. Forest service says as of this morning, there are 40 large wildfires active on more than 1 million acres across federal, state, tribal and private lands in the United States. Nearly 6,400 interagency personnel are currently fighting these fires, including the Cat and Platypus/Rhino Fires burning here Arizona.
