Thursday afternoon, PANT detectives located a stolen Nissan inside the Prescott County Club, in Dewey. YCSO Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says deputies maintained surveillance and later 25-year old Bradley Farley, of Sun City, entered the vehicle and drove onto Highway 69. Deputies initiated a roadblock to intercept Farley but he evaded it and collided with the rear end of a Sheriff’s vehicle. He then drove towards a deputy causing him to jump out of the way to avoid being struck. A high speed chase ensued, but due to high risks the patrol commander discontinued pursuit.Farley accelerated to over 100 miles per hour while swerving around other motorists Farley drove oncoming traffic. Due to his speed, he lost control of the Nissan and struck a red 2014 Ford Fiesta driven by an adult male with a child passenger. This collision caused a chain reaction collision with a blue 2002 Dodge Dakota truck driven by an adult male with an adult passenger. Farley exited and ran south attempting to escape. Several ‘good Samaritans’ ran after Farley, caught and held him as deputies arrived to take custody.Three people in the struck vehicles were transported to YRMC for non-life threatening injuries. Farley was arrested and booked into the Camp Verde Jail on charges including Assault on a Police Officer, several counts of Endangerment, Weapons Offense, Assault with a Deadly weapon and 2 warrants.
