The Flagstaff Police Department is investigating a kidnapping and attempted sexual assault of an eighteen-year old woman, which occurred on Monday evening.Sgt. Cory Runge says at approximately 8 pm, an eighteen-year old woman reported that she was attacked by an unknown Native American male near the 3800 block of East Sioux Drive in Flagstaff. The victim described her aggressor as approximately 6’00” tall with a heavy body build and medium length hair, who was wearing large squared prescription glasses and a black shirt and blue jeans. Runge says the suspect pulled the victim into a nearby wooded area and continued to physically assault her and attempted to sexually assault her as she fought for her freedom. The attacker eventually let go of the victim as she continued to fight. The case is currently under investigation.
