A standoff involving a man and three children at Kinnikinick Lake Thursday ended peacefully after several hours. Coconino County Sheriff’s Office officials say 29-year old Jarred McMinn of Flagstaff, also known as Jarred Parker was the focus of a domestic violence call; the lake is located about 30-miles south of Flagstaff off Lake Mary Road. Arriving deputies found that a woman had been assaulted by McMinn who was now held up in their tent with a gun and three small children. The Flagstaff Police Department’s Joint Tactical Team also responded and negotiations began. After 6-hours, McMinn surrendered to deputies without further incident. He was jailed on charges of domestic violence, weapons misconduct, criminal damage and endangerment.
