Unregistered sex offender applys for jobs at Prescott area schools

YCSO arrested a man that failed to register as a sex offender and was seeking employment at a Prescott area school. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says a DPS Sex Offender Administrator notified them that 75-year old Harold Wilson was applying for a clearance card involving a public or charter school vendor license. It was also learned that Wilson was applying for employment at Prescott area schools. D’Evelyn says Wilson also failed to register his new address with the Sheriff’s Office when he moved to Mayer. Wilson is currently in jail on a $15,000 bond. Wilson was arrested and convicted in 1989 of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 in California. He had been living unregistered in Mayer for 18-years.
