Winslow Police responded to an active burglary alarm at a local pawn shop early Wednesday morning. Officials say during a search of the store, officers encountered an armed suspect inside of the shop who started shooting at them. Officials say an officer fired back, hitting the suspect. The suspect was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center and is in stable condition. No officers were injured.
