The Flagstaff Police Department’s Northern Arizona Metro Narcotics Task Force in partnership with the FBI recently completed a ten-month investigation, deemed “Operation Landslide”, resulting in 25 arrests. Sergeant Cory Runge says the operation focused on local and regional methamphetamine and heroin dealers. Runge says multiple agencies conducted over sixty controlled purchases of methamphetamine, heroin, and firearms from a total of twenty-nine defendants. He says arrest warrants were issued via the United States Attorney’s Office and the United States Federal Court for the District of Arizona and were served on June 26th throughout Flagstaff. He says over forty officers and federal agents participated in the operation. Several suspects are still at large.
