More flooding likely through the middle of the week

Monsoon showers and thunderstorms that lead to wide-spread flooding Sunday will continue. National Weather Service Meteorologist Justin Johndrow says showers and thunderstorms are likely for today and tomorrow. He says the monsoon will slow down by the end of the week and weekend. Johdrow says they had reports of flooding in Mayer, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and in the Flagstaff region Sunday. Our chance of monsoon activity is expected to decrease after the middle of the week. We currently drop down to a 20-to-30% chance by Saturday and Sunday. The public is reminded to not drive through flooded washes and roads and the public should seek high ground when a flash flood warning is issued.
