Friday, a medium sized dog was discovered trapped in a storm drain in the 400 block of North Switzer Canyon Drive in Flagstaff. Crew from Flagstaff Fire arrived and were able to free the dog from the drain before there was any further rainfall. The person who spotted the dog, 3 feet below the street inside the drain, says this drain frequently overflows. The dog was uninjured and reunited with its owner. How the dog ended up in the storm drain is unknown.
