No reports of fires or injuries caused by fireworks on the fourth of July have been reported by our local fire agencies. All in all, officials say it was a quiet holiday. Central Arizona Fire and Medical Fire Marshal Rick Chase says he is grateful that they did not have to respond to any fires from illegal fireworks thanks to the public listening to the numerous PSAs and following fire restrictions. The public is reminded that fire restrictions are still in place. Check with your local fire jurisdiction for restrictions in your area.
