Flagstaff Police released the name of the man struck and killed by a car as he was crawling in the roadway on the night of June 29-th. Sgt Cory Runge says the person was identified as 53-year old Elmer Yazzie of Flagstaff. Witnesses say Yazzie was crawling in the 1500 block of East Route-66. Several motorists swerved and missed Yazzie, but one collided with him. It’s not clear why Yazzie was crawling in the roadway. There were no signs of impairment on the driver’s part.
