Saturday, Chino Valley Police responded to the 600 block of North Highway 89 for a man who had been stabbed. Officials say officers and fire fighters performed lifesaving techniques but the victim succumbed to his injuries a short time later at the hospital. Officials say during the investigation officers learned the victim, 16-year old Alex Robinson, several other juveniles and the suspect, 26-year old Donovan Larriba-Tucker, all of Chino Valley, had been involved in a fight in a field off Grasshopper Road in Chino Valley. Officials say during the fight Larriba-Tucker stabbed Robinson several times with a knife. After he was stabbed, two juveniles drove Robinson to the location where he was found by officers. Officials say after locating the individuals involved, executing search warrants and conducting interviews Larriba-Tucker was arrested and booked on second degree murder, with possible additional charges pending further investigation. The case is being forwarded to the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office.
