National Weather Service says fire danger will be increasing over the next week

The National Weather Service says fire danger will be increasing over the next week with mostly dry, hot weather expected.  Meteorologist Brian Klimowski says critical fire weather conditions will be possible Thursday and Friday due to stronger winds. Klimowski says isolated and scattered storms over the eastern portion of the state on Friday and Saturday may bring the potential for lightning-caused fire starts. He says the onset of the monsoon precipitation pattern is not likely in the next 7-to-10 days. Klimowski says longer range predictions indicate the potential for the onset of the monsoon pattern around July 6th.
