Prescott City Council has approved up to $10,000 for a fuels mitigation grant for residents

The Prescott City Council has approved up to $10,000 for a fuels mitigation grant for residents. The City is offering up to 20 matching grants of $500 each to residents of the City of Prescott. The deadline to apply is June 15th. Work done should create defensible space to include cutting or clearing of brush, trees, and the removal of ladder fuels. These grants are first come, first serve. The property must be located in the Prescott City limits, in the Wildland Urban Interface Zone and located in a current Firewise Community. Go to Prescott-az.gov for more information.
