At last update, the human caused 377 Fire, burning 4 miles north east of Heber, has burned 4900 acres and it 0% contained. The first fires was reported on Highway 377 Monday afternoon, and within minutes, 15 individual fires had been reported stretching 22 miles along the road. The fires burning primarily in grassland were under control by sunset Monday, but fires within the forested area quickly grew together, threatening private homes in the Despain Ranch area. A full evacuation of Despain Ranch was carried out, and remains in place. An evacuation shelter has been established at the Navajo County Fairgrounds in Holbrook. The fire also damaged the main power line delivering power to the communities of Heber and Overgaard.  Utilizing dozer lines and retardant drops, crews have reduced the threat to structures. 250 fire personnel are currently working to contain the blaze.
