In an effort to protect Oak Creek from pollutants, the city of Sedona Public Works Department is requesting public comment on their Stormwater Quality Management Program. Under this Program, the city will carry out steps to enhance the quality of stormwater draining from its stormwater system, as well as address activities resulting in stormwater pollution from construction sites, existing developments, government agencies, and residents or tourists. The program does not, however, deal with the volume of water the system handles. The program is available on the city website at Sedona az.gov by using the search term “stormwater.” Comments need to be submitted by June 30 to the Sedona Public Works Department.
