Dehydrated man rescued near Watson Lake

Prescott Fire responded to Watson Lake Friday afternoon on a report of an unconscious hiker. Spokesman Conrad Jackson says the 911 caller had reported that a 72-year old man had fallen unconscious about a mile north of the boat ramp near the dam. Crews responded with a stokes basket and a boat. Jackson says neither item was needed as the first crew found the man conscious, but dehydrated. The man was given fluids and then walked out of the area. Jackson says temperatures are getting hotter and the public needs to make sure they stay hydrated when outdoors. There were two other people with the victim, which allowed one person to stay with the victim while the other one went for help.
