Game and Fish is reminding OHV users to be safe this Memorial Weekend. Officials say there were numerous fatal accidents last year involved utility task vehicles that rolled over and pinned the operator underneath. Wearing a seatbelt is important as it helps to keep the driver and passenger inside the vehicle if it rolls. Children under the age of 18 must wear a US Department of Transportation approved helmet, don’t overload the vehicle, wear riding goggles, never ride alone and have a map, first aid kit and a charged cellphone. Game and Fish officers and partners will be out in force this weekend looking for violators.
