Prescott Valley Police Officer makes meaningful contact

Thursday, Prescott Valley Police Officer Robert Hernandez was sent to a home on North Navajo Drive for a report of a person have an anxiety attack. Spokesman Jerry Ferguson says upon arrival, Hernandez learned that the resident had not had enough food to eat. Ferguson says with permission, Hernandez checked the resident’s kitchen and discovered a limited amount of groceries and then Health personnel were called to the residence to evaluate the resident. Ferguson says Hernandez then went to a grocery store and purchased two bags of groceries and delivered them to the residence. Ferguson says this is a prime example of meaningful contact, which is when officers make special efforts to relate to citizens in a positive meaningful way.
