During the month of April, Firefighters and EMS personnel from agencies around the Verde Valley will be taking part in the Life and Fire Safety Program at local schools for children in Kindergarten through 3-rd grade. This twice a year program educates hundreds of elementary school children on fire safety through plays and other fun learning programs. This time of year, specially trained personnel will be covering “One Less Spark One Less Wildfire” and alternating between Wildland safety and general fire safety.
