Early this morning, Copper Canyon Fire and Medical crews were dispatched to the 400 block of 5th Street in Camp Verde for the report of a structure fire. Chief Terry Keller says upon arrival, crews found a fire the rear bedroom of the home. Keller says though the occupants were able to escape safely, one of the tenants was treated on scene for minor hand burns. He says the structure received significant damage, displacing the occupants, who were referred to the Red Cross for support. Keller says the fire was caused by the use of smoking materials in bed.
