Sunday evening around 10 pm, Flagstaff Police Department responded to the area of Cedar Hill near Cedar Ave. and Linda Vista in reference to a report that a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle. Sergeant Cory Runge says once on scene officers immediately began emergency lifesaving measures. Runge says the pedestrian, identified as 21-year old Christopher Larson of Flagstaff, was transported to FMC where he was later pronounced deceased due to the injuries he sustained. Runge says Larson, a former Northern Arizona University student, was involved in a disagreement at a downtown business, when he left and started to walking to his house in the eastbound lane on Cedar Ave. were he was struck by a vehicle. Runge says officers contacted the driver of the vehicle and did not identify any signs of impairment. The Flagstaff Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
