9/14 Saturday night, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal boat crash, in Cattail Cove, on Lake Havasu. Deputies arrived to find a boat on land, with the driver and passenger found unresponsive nearby. Officials say 65-year-old Charles Romer and 59-year-old Jennifer Luzzi, both of Lake Havasu City, were pronounced dead on scene. The initial investigation suggests the boat was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a peninsula, became airborne and crashed on shore, ejecting both people.
