Wildfire Prevention Tips with Record Breaking Heat in the Southwest

3/19 With the record-breaking temperatures were experiencing, the National Weather Service says fuels will dry out quickly, increasing the risk of wildfires this year. There are things we can do to help prevent wildfires. Before burning, check with your local fire jurisdiction to see if burning is being allowed. Avoid activities that could start a fire, such as target shooting. Make sure your campfire is dead-out before leaving it unattended and secure tow-chains so the metal isn’t dragging and putting off sparks.
