6/24 Tonto National Forest officials say the Sycamore Fire, north of Globe, has now burned 9,530-acres and is 17% contained. Containment increased along the south side of the fire. Overnight, firefighters worked to improve containment lines along the southeast side of the fire, along Forest Roads 645 and 303. The fire was caused by lightning on June 15-th.
