8/13 DPS removed a truck driver from I-40 recently for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Troopers responded to a call reporting a semi had just run through several traffic barricades on the interstate. The driver was located and showed signs of being impaired. A preliminary breath sample showed his blood alcohol level was .124. Officials say open containers of alcohol were found inside the cab. The vehicle and driver were taken out of service.
