9/2 Grand Canyon National Park officials released the names of the men killed during last Saturday’s flood event, in Bright Angel Canyon. The victims are identified as 46-year-old John Giusti and 42-year-old Brent Rosenkranz, both of Granbury, Texas. The search continues for the third member of their hiking group, 53-year-old Timothy Smith of Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, with teams continuing efforts to locate the missing hiker and account for anyone else who may have been in the affected area at the time of the flood. Anyone with information about individuals who may have been hiking or backpacking in Bright Angel Canyon or the surrounding area on August 29-th, is asked to contact the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch Tip Line at 888-653-0009.
