5/26 Tonto National Forest officials say the Rose Fire is 70% contained at 2.7-acres. The fire, which started Sunday, is burning south of Young. Monday, crews mopped up along the fire’s edge and today those efforts will continue. Officials say the fire received some precipitation Monday afternoon as a thunderstorm moved over the fire area. This is the final update for the blaze.
