6/22 Prescott Valley Police recently conducted a traffic detail on Highway-69 in response to public complaints of speeders and aggressive drivers on the roadway. The detail was conducted near Sundog Ranch Road and involved neighboring police agencies. Out of the 101-traffic stops, 11-drivers were arrested for various driving-related offenses. One driver was stopped going 75-mph in a 45-mph zone and was arrested on suspicion of being DUI drugs. A search of the vehicle found 23-fentanyl pills, cocaine, and methamphetamine. Another driver was arrested for going 100-mph. At the end of the detail, 54-drivers were charged with speeding and 4 with excessive speed. A total of 4-drivers were charged with DUI.
