9/3 The Prescott Valley Police Department wants the public to know that their Volunteer Services Unit offers the “You Are Not Alone” or YANA program. Volunteers In Protection, or VIPs, call YANA participants 3-times a week to make sure they have what they need and to make them feel more connected to their community. If a YANA participant does not answer their phone 3-consecutive times, a welfare check is conducted to make sure the person is ok. Calls are made on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between 9-am and noon. Volunteers keep a log of who they have or have not spoken with.
