7/14 The Pocket Fire, north of Sedona, is now 83% contained at 27,393-acres. The acreage has not changed over the past few days. Officials say 1-to-2-inches of rain fell over the southern flank of the fire Monday, which helped crews with containment lines. Much of the active fire is in the interior of the blaze, so smoke will continue to be visible over the next several days. Highway-89A through Oak Creek Canyon was reopened Monday and all residents impacted by the fire are on “READY” status.
