7/03 The Pocket Fire, in Oak Creek Canyon, north of Sedona, is now 25% contained at 23,451-acres. Residents within Oak Creek Canyon remain on “SET” evacuation status while all other areas are on “READY” status. Highway-89A remains closed between Sedona and Flagstaff. Crews spent last night conducting burnout operations on Forest Roads 538 and 538A. They burned back towards the main fire from dozer lines established in the Joe Tank area.
