6/22 The Pocket Fire, in Oak Creek Canyon, north of Sedona, is 0% contained at 257-acres this morning. A Southwest Complex Incident Management Team-2 took control of the fire Sunday. A “GO” evacuation order remains in effect for visitors and residents of Oak Creek Canyon, between Sedona and Forest Highlands. Highway 89A is closed from Sedona to Fort Tuthill. Woody Mountain Road is closed and Red Rock High School in Sedona is being used for the Red Cross Shelter. The fire was first reported Friday at 5-pm and quickly grew. What caused the fire is unknown at this time. Lake Mary is temporarily closed while it’s being used for firefighting.
