PNF to Conduct Goldwater Prescribed Burn South of Prescott Next Week

5/13 Prescott National Forest fire managers hope to conduct a prescribed burn south of Prescott, starting next Tuesday and continuing through the end of the month, weather permitting. The Goldwater burn is located east of Highway-89 and Ponderosa Park Road, west of School House Gulch Road north of Marapai Road and west of Goldwater Lake. During the burn, trails in the Bean Peaks area may be temporarily closed along with Marapai Road and dispersed camping sites in the area. Smoke may impact Prescott, Prescott Valley, Wilhoit, Chino Valley, and other surrounding communities.
