1/23 Prescott National Forest will implement seasonal closures as peregrine falcons return to the Prescott area. Climbing and other activities on the cliff faces of Granite Mountain and Thumb Butte will be restricted, starting February 1-st and continuing through July 15-th. The closures are needed to protect the nesting areas of the falcons. Falcons have nested at both locations for the past 30-years.
