1/26 Within the past week, rumors have been circulating heavily regarding ICE being in the Page area to conduct enforcement. This post serves as notification to the community that the Page Police Department has no knowledge of any immigration enforcement occurring within our community. Several community members have described vehicles alleged to be associated with ICE. Page Police Officers did contact one such vehicle, as described in social media posts made by community members, and discovered that the vehicle was being operated by a tourist. We thank the community for its awareness regarding this sensitive topic and ask that they refrain from calling our dispatch center with inquiries regarding ICE, as these communications can sometimes be hostile and unnecessary and disrupt our emergency 911 callers. In the interest of transparency, the Page Police Department will notify the community if outside agencies conduct any enforcement within our community.
