6/01 Page Police arrested a local man on felony drug and weapons charges and the same person may face additional charges in connection with a fatal drug overdose that occurred on April 24-th. Saturday morning, the officer stopped the suspect on Industrial Drive. The suspect was armed with a handgun and was found to be in possession of saleable amounts of fentanyl and cocaine. Drug paraphernalia was also seized. Police say the individual who died on April 24-th was this suspect’s roommate. Both fentanyl and cocaine were located and seized from the house during the overdose investigation. Both cases remain active. Names were not released.
