6/26 The US Department of Justice says Regina Durkin of New River pleaded guilty Thursday to stealing more than $7.7-million in government funds by filing 14-false tax returns with the IRS. Durkin filed bogus tax returns seeking fraudulent refunds during the COVID-19 pandemic. Durkin is scheduled to be sentenced in September where she faces up to 10-years in prison.
