7/27 Law enforcement in Yavapai and Coconino Counties will be out in force over the next few weeks patrolling school zones and watching for drivers illegally passing school busses. School is starting and motorists need to remember a few back-to-school driving reminders. You must stop, in either direction, if a school bus has it’s flashing lights and stop arm deployed. The only exception is when there’s a raised median. The speed limit in school zones is 15-mph. Watch for kids walking and riding bikes to school. Deputies and officers will have zero-tolerance policy for violations.
