9/1 The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office Unidentified Remains Task Force positively identified human remains found in July 1980, in a forested area, near Mount Elden Road. The family asked for privacy, so the person’s name will not be released. The identity was learned through advanced forensic science and genetic genealogy. The remains have been returned to the family.
