9/9 Grand Canyon officials say they expect to have water restored to the South Rim of the canyon sooner than later. Officials say the plan will take weeks to accomplish rather than months due to progress already made. Crews are constructing a temporary water intake at Bright Angel Creek to replace the one destroyed in the flood. The search also continues for 53-year-old Timothy Smith, of Wyoming, who was swept away by flood waters on August 29-th.
