8/06 Game and Fish is offering a workshop for hunters regarding Chronic Wasting Disease. A workshop will be held at the Flagstaff office on Saturday, August 15-th, at 10-am and again on Tuesday, September 8-th, at 6-pm. Game and Fish has been testing for the disease since 1998 and to date it has not been detected in Arizona. It is however present in California, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado. The workshop will show hunters how to collect and submit tissue samples from the animal they harvest. Those samples are then tested for the disease.
