5/6 Cottonwood Police released further details into the officer involved shooting that occurred at a home on South Vista Grande Avenue. On the night of April 27-th, officers responded to the house on a report of domestic violence. Officials say the situation escalated and 58-year-old David Coomer of Cottonwood was shot and killed. Neither officer involved was injured. The officers, one a 5-year veteran and the other with 17-years of experience were wearing body cams, which are being reviewed for the investigation.
