6/23 Monday, FEMA announced federal funding for hazard mitigation projects that will address flood, earthquake and wildfire risks. Officials say up to $1.5-million is available for Fanning Wash Flood Mitigations in Flagstaff and $493-thousand for Bull Mountain Channel Improvements in Kingman. Both cities must apply for the funding by the July 22-nd deadline. FEMA will review the applications and then make a determination.
