3/17 Flagstaff Police investigated two different cases of people being struck by trains in Flagstaff Friday. Officials say Friday morning, two people standing on the eastbound tracks, waiting for a westbound train to pass, failed to hear the incoming eastbound train and were struck. Both were pronounced dead on scene. Alcohol may have been involved; names were not released. Friday night, Flagstaff Police responded to a second incident near the intersection of East Route-66 and North Beaver Street. Officials say 54-year-old Jason Dolk of Flagstaff was pronounced deceased at the scene. The train crew told police, Dolk was lying on the tracks, facing away from the train, when he was struck.
